I can't go to the range anymore

Thank you paranoid panic buyers.

I can't get any .22, except a box of subsonic here and there

I can't get any .45ACP that isn't price-gouged

I can't get any .308 that isn't price-gouged.

I can still find my 12ga, but no longer any RR, but I can still get loads of boxes of slugs, only because a ton of ranges prohibit them.

It's been 2 months since I've been to the range, and I have about 15 range-trips worth of ammo sitting at home, that I don't want to part with because I don't know if I'll be able to replace what I've fired.

Luckily guns/acc and parts that cost over $2,000 is still pretty available and that's because you panic buying schmucks can't fit that on your credit cards.

Thanks panic buyers. I can't enjoy shooting anymore. I'm reduced to CoD BO2 while I've got about $13,000 worth of crap in my house (heh, probably worth $21,000 now) I'm not willing to touch anymore.

And NO, I'm not selling any of it to you asshole panic buyers.

Bunch of you asshat panic buyers are willing to drive all over creation looking for deals, but I bet hardly none of you actually contact your representatives in state or Congress.

Actually my shoulder really feels like crap. I fucked it up bad in a skydiving accident 10 years ago. I wanted to go this morning but alas there's no way I can take the big-scary-black-guns out and deal with the recoil, I would be in agony when I wake up tomorrow.

So wait you are complaining that there are more people than ever buying guns and bolstering our ranks? People that will be factored in when the anti-gun politicians try to pass laws that will effectively render your 21k in guns nothing more than paperweights.... If they don't try to take them first.

Too many gun owners is a good problem for us to have. I blame the government for drying up the supply more than my fellow citizens wanting to exercise their rights, which you have been doing freely for so long.

I dunno about that. I would like to THINK that but...

I was at Wicen's Farm in December and jaw dropped along with an RSO's over first timers with ARs. I don't consider myself an old fuddy-duddy but... seriously? Never touched a gun in your life and the FIRST thing you run out and get is a panic buy AR? I hope you at least found gun safety videos on YouTube before you decided to hop in the car and come out.

The AR makes a fine first rifle. Easy to maintain, easy on the recoil. Easy to load and shoot. What's not to like? Oooohhh It looks too scary for a first rifle?

Invest in some reloading equipment. Make your own 45acp and 308. Loading components are out there, ya just have to look for them.

I'm taking the kids to the range tomorrow when it warms up a bit and we'll likely be there for 3 hours shooting my reloads.

ETA:: I have been seeing some 45ACP on the shelves again at the gun shops. Walmart is still cleaned out for the most part. Though... I did score some 7.62x39 TulAmmo last week. Just 3 boxes but it was still priced at just $5.17/box.

No, I picked this up from my father... it's just so much easier to put a bolt action or a pump shotgun in the hands of a first timer where manual action is needed so it gives you a chance to watch carefully and scream at them when that errant finger eventually finds its way inside the trigger guard.

I've put ARs in the hands of a first timer. Did that 3 months ago. But we worked our way up to the SBG with the 20rd mag Big Grin Wasn't the first time I did that. He turned out the same---he liked the 12GA more than anything (when you're 12GA indoors it's an attention grabber)
