I don't not see 'little green men'

The events in Idaho, Texas & Montana were covered on SW, and provided counterweight to the usual left-leaning media. By the Montana standoff, militia groups were mobilizing to render assistance. It had been resolved before effective force had arrived. From my perspective, I suspect 1992-96 is the closest we've come to an all-out shooting civil war, April 19, 1995 notwithstanding.
I see some alarming similarities: people are panic-buying (no biggie by itself....BUT) the re-emergence of militias, and a growing sense of impatience and intolerance. Should this continue unabated, it will not have a happy ending.

Damn that is kinda scary to think about. At that time I was only 1-5 years in age respectively. To think that while I was wholly unaware of the world as it stood, things were teetering so precariously on the edge of out right war. However things go now I am just glad that I am old enough to understand what is going on.

I just want to know where ol' Lon Horiuchi is today......

Things that make you go hmmmmmm...
After his whirlwind tour with Janet Reno at both Waco AND Ruby Ridge, he's been well hid. So in case anyone doubts a sitting Democratic president would think twice on shooting at US citizens.......

When Kent State happened I was in Vietnam. It was the center of conversation for a long time. I don't remember one guy saying he would shoot at Americans. Some said they would 'rifle butt' but that as far as anyone would go. "Un-lawful Order"

Heres the deal though: both Waco and Ruby Ridge were characterized as criminal activites, and the residents as criminals, even the children. At Ruby Ridge, a 14 yo was shot in the back by feds as he ran away from them back to the house, at Waco a room full of children were torched.

The point being, if an order is given a certain way, a soldier WILL carry out that order as it will be relayed to him as being lawful. Im sure that if the order is given to perm ban semi automatics and people resist forcefully, the resistors will be labeled as traitorous insurgents (not US citizens).
This is why its important that any overt hostile action must happen from the gun grabbers first, otherwise 2A loses legitimacy.

Probably running a rigged shooting gallery at a county fair somewhere.

Yep. My take: Like a lot of big plans, it was intended to accomplish multiple goals, everyone had a stake in a high profile shootout.
  • BATF was frequently in trouble, Congress was cutting off funding, they needed relevance
  • FBI needed an easy kill following several high profile espionage flubs (examples: 1 - 2 - 3)
  • Clinton & company wanted justification for more gun control
  • Aftermath: participants are heroes, casualties even more so. All that ammo shot up=larger budget requests for ammo, body armor, APCs, helicopters, et al.
Are you aware the shoot-on-sight order came from Larry Potts/FBI? Who, [tinfoil hat warning] as it turns out, may be linked to OKC?

If I'm right, those folks never had a chance. .gov went looking for a fight from the start, which would explain why they avoided picking Mr. Koresh up when he was jogging alone & unarmed.

The "sniper" at Ruby Ridge was FBI, not ATF.

Let's also not forget they blew Vicki Weaver's brains out as she sat holding a 10 month child. Flea Utg

The more I see on the news about what our government is doing the more tension I feel. Even my friends that stupidly voted OMao are starting to look at it all and question what is going on (a little too late if you ask me).

I, myself, have been feeling more and more uneasy; not paranoid, but just a little something nagging at the back of my brain. I have been neglecting some prepping, and before it did not bother me so much, but now it makes me more and more anxious.

I am glad that we have places like this with likeline minded people on the Internet, but someways I worry that they will try to do here what they did in Egypt (or was it Libya?) when they effectively shut down the Internet during the riots there.

I watched a video of Bloomberg after his mayors meeting in DC
His security -- Body Guards-- four body guards

I was public relation for years with Vietnam Veterans of America
in NYC. Had meeting with Mayor Dinkins & Ed Koch.
I never saw any security like Bloombergs .
There were some NYPD but they have/had an office there.
What came to mind -- Germany Secret Police.
