IF I was to by a Glock 26 Gen 3 or 4?

I dont know much about glocks so I dont know which is more reliable a Glock 26 gen 3 or gen 4. All advice welcome. Thanks Dom.

Gen 4. you can tailor the grip, 3 mags, and it's a Glock. Ultra reliable and accurate.

I second the gen 4. It seems whatever hiccups existed when the gen 4s were first released have been worked out. Mine have all been 100% reliable thus far and I definitely prefer them to the gen 3s.

I am NOT familiar with Glocks and am going to ask a dumb question. Is there any way ( other than serial number ) to tell if it is a Gen 3 or Gen 4 ??? Not that I have one or plan on getting one any time soon but would just like to know...
