Allen West for prez and Ben Carson for VP.

The race baiters would tie themselves in knots over that one.

I enjoy every minute of it.

2. If does have executive experience, what did he accomplish?

An incredibly intelligent and successful physician, writer and speaker with a conservative bent that believe that all people can pull themselves up by their bootstraps as he did.

Came from poverty in Detriot.
First surgeon to separate conjoined twins joined at the head.
Since 1984, Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery and noted author. Founded the Carsons Scholars to recognize and reward students who strive for academic excellence and demonstrate a strong commitment to their community.

From the biography channel:
Quote:In 2001, CNN and Time magazine named Ben Carson as one of the nation's 20 foremost physicians and scientists. In that same year, the Library of Congress selected him as one of 89 "Living Legends." In 2006, he received the Spingarn Medal, the highest honor bestowed by the NAACP. In February 2008, President Bush awarded Carson the Ford's Theater Lincoln Medal and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the U.S. highest civilian honors. In 2009, actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. portrayed Carson in the TNN television production Gifted Hands.

Have you've seen who's been president the last 40 years?

If you have a brain and integrity you beat them all.

Reagan included. Amnesty for illegals signing a federal ban on guns increasing the size of government... no thanks.. hell Clinton was probably the best of all of them and he signed a weapons ban but at least he got a near balanced budget through congress though some say congress got the budget through him...

Isn't that rather like saying we'll vote for the lesser of the evils? If he was one of the finalists, I'd vote for him given the other candidates. At the beginning of the cycle, he's not nearly the best we can field.

Skill and experience in one area does not always equal ability in another.

These two sum up my feelings.

I think Carson would be better than Hillary hands down, but I want to see if there is a better option than both.

Having heard him speak personally, I have seen no one who outshines him to date.

Figured I'd bump this thread instead of starting a new one.

What ever happened to Dr. Ben Carson? I still really like this guy.

Neither George Washington, John Adams or Thomas Jefferson had illustrious political careers before taking the mantle of President.

As they all agreed, the last thing we need in power is a politician.

He's in it, just laying low. Smart maneuver being so early in the race.
I like him too, self made man who uses logic and gets a ton of respect from me.
