Illinois teacher to be reprimanded for informing students of 5th amendment rights.
In Illinois (no surprise) a social studies teacher could get "a letter of remedy" in his employment file which can carry a consequence of dismissal for informing his students about their right to not incriminate themselves. The students were to fill out a questionnaire regarding drug use and their emotions so they could be analyzed to see who "needed help" as there have been suicides in past years and some teachers were concerned. The school has a cop in the building.

First amendment does not apply when talking about 5th amendment?

I am a unique & individual snowflake just like everyone else.
It's the "BILL OF RIGHTS" not the bill of "needs"
Good for the teacher!

I sincerely hope he lawyers up and, if nothing else, gets the reprimand off his record.
