Inhofe: EPA 'punting' regs until after election that 'spell doom' for jobs, economy
#1
Quote:Republican Sen. James Inhofe says the Environmental Protection Agency has delayed action or “punted” on numerous regulations while President Obama tries to “earns votes” for a second term.

The Oklahoma senator and ranking Republican on the chamber’s Committee on Environment and Public Works has released a report stating that when the agency approves the roughly one dozen regulations next year in 2013, they will “spell doom” for jobs and economic growth.

“The Obama-EPA plans to move full speed ahead to implement this agenda if President Obama wins a second term,” Inhofe writes.

“These rules taken together will inevitably result in the elimination of millions of American jobs, drive up the price of gas at the pump even more, impose construction bans on local communities and essentially shut down American oil, natural gas and coal production.”

The 14-page report cites pending regulations on a wide range of environmental-economic issues including those on power plant emissions and hydraulic fracturing.

The report concluded that pending overall regulations on greenhouse gases if enacted would cost $300 billion to $400 billion annual and significantly increase the price of gasoline and home heating.

I couldn't agree more. Unlike most other elections where the president - with a few exceptions - mostly nudges the country in one direction or another, soooooo much is on the line with this election. If O is re-elected, we can say goodbye to the USA we all knew. If Romney is elected, the side towards Progressiveness can be slowed and, hopefully, turned. We will get the exact opposite with O!

Those third party protest voters must have deep wallets to not care about this stuff coming down the pike.
Too bad my family will have to suffer the consequences of these selfish individuals.

Yeah, they were talking about it at the gun shop Sat. and I asked them if they honestly thought Romney was gonna do a 180 and overturn everything the previous administrations have done to erode this country. You would have thought I shot all their dogs and raped all their women with that comment.

That said, however, I still think the best thing we can do short term is get rid of O.

Long term, it's gonna take some serious revisions in the way this country does things to get back to some semblance of tolerability.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

I don't see Romney allowing the EPA to shut down power plants and I don't see Romney using the EPA to regulate ammunition.
I also don't see Romney handing tax dollars to green energy failures like Solindra and 123.
He may extend tax breaks for private companies that wish to explore green energy, but I see the handing over of checks coming to an end.

These third party voters are amusing during other elections, but not so this time.

Romney has no say in this. Remember when GWB wanted to stop the epa from regulating C02? How well did that work out for ya? These brainwashed party guys that stick their heads in the sand are normally amusing but not this time..
