Is Muslim a race now?

In a literal sense no, of course not, however it is my hope that folks here would understand what was inferred, in other words, lets keep things civil and adult, lets keep grudges started in other places in cyberspace from ruining things here.

If I'm remembering correctly, it was South Park and the network edited the episodes severely so as not to offend Muslims, muting the speech that had him in it and intentionally preventing the image from being shown.

And really, that's at the root of what's at the issue that is pissing off so many people.

Somehow, somewhere along the way, Islam has become some 'sacred cow' that cannot be talked about, made fun of, insulted, or have anything negative said about it without careful consideration that it isn't *too* negative.  Everywhere.

On 9/11 our government put out a comment that essentially said "some Americans say bad stuff about Muslims in their ignorance, so please don't hold that against us."

Yet our same government has no issue with funding public art of a crucifix dipped in urine, or portraits of Christ with cow shit thrown at it considered 'art'.  Do the same to Mohammed, and people die.

The government, media, and anyone else who buys into the whole 'politically correct' argument trips over their tongue to throw out "only extremists" do this--which IS true, every religion has extremists who will kill someone for disagreeing...I'd guess--but then is TERRIFIED of acknowledging anything that might be seen as Muslim extremism, because they're terrified of painting Islam in a negative light at all because it goes against the entire premise of "political correctness" which, incidentally, Islam as a religion and its followers have positively no use for.

I've known a few Muslims...the real kind, and the "I'm a black Muslim who follows Farrakhan" kind.  The real Muslims, good and decent people who just wanted to be left alone, but holy cow...tread lightly on the subject of Mohammed, you can see their demeanor instantly move to a more offensive state and they're out and out ready for a fight.  And that's just asking innocent questions, and looking for their personal insight and perspective.

Oh yeah, and the "this place is full of bigots" comes out only when anything ever has anything negative to say about Islam, which only goes to prove that there is selective protection, because all the people who have made that comment--I have NEVER seen you defend someone's christian beliefs.  Ever.

If we're going to be honest and upfront, and treat each other with respect, then lets do it across the board, right?

Now I'm hearing on the news, main stream no less, not Fox or talk radio, that the video most likely had nothing to do with the attack. It was too sophisticated & well planned to be a last minute attack. Looks like the planning was done well in advance & the date (9/11) is not a coincidence. Of course the media & obama administration mouth off before the facts are in...again

But not before they criticize Romney for making a comment about how disgraceful the attack was, before the facts were in.  Rolleyes

The fact that the rioting took place on 9/11 is too much of a coincidence for it to be anything other than planned.  My first thought was that it was planned, before I heard anything about some Emo Mohammed movie.

Right, but it will never happen because Progressives, Communists, and Islamists are all tied at the hip. They are all totalitarians.  They want full control over others and differ from one another only slightly, in the details of their ideology.  Free people are their enemy.  Free people must be converted, or consumed.

Control over the masses in the name of Allah, or in the name of atheism, or in the name of nature, peace, & love is slavery nonetheless.

I just remembered while reading your quote.  South Park had an episode titled Super Best Friends.  A bunch of religious figures from various religions (including Mohammad) had super powers and would fight crime.  You can see the cartoon super hero Muhammad here, along with the plot for the episode.
