Intelliscope - The Future of Optics?
#1
I just ran across this item on a "New for 2014" page of a vendor website and had to Google it...

Intelliscope.

I found a quick glance at the FAQ page to be interesting.

I dunno. I see it as a gimmicky "toy" in it's current stage of development, but could this be the future of rifle optics?

Sweet. Now the NSA/FBI/CIA/BATFE/AARP/PTO can see what your shooting in real time. This could be the future indeed.
Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.

And who is doing the shooting.
The Second Amendment does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not infringe our right.

The bigger-is-better crowd will have a fuggin' 10" tablet mounted on their rifle within the week.

I see this as an "idea" that was made "real" - one that works to a limited amount of success, but not viable as a true "optic" - especially for hard, "life-dependent" use.

BUT, I think this little "toy" will be a stepping stone to "smart optics" that CAN be used hard and ARE dependable - even if they ultimately end up costing more than a used Ford Focus to purchase.

Right now, I think the beauty of it is that everyone already carries one of these "optics" with them on a daily basis, so the biggest part of the cost is already paid for - all you need is the mount.

Great. Now I need to sight in my phone.

I miss the old days when I could just use my iron phone.
