Firearms and archery equipment used for hunting may be uncased and ready for use only in authorized hunting areas during hunting seasons. In areas not open to hunting or during non-hunting seasons, firearms and archery equipment shall be kept in the owner's car, trailer or leased campsite. The only exception is that law enforcement officers and individuals with a valid Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms may carry said firearm concealed on their person while they are within the park.

Who told you can't carry in county parks? Are you new here? You can carry a Krinkov while wearing your favorite ballroom gown in a county park, openly or concealed.

As for the "concealed only" in state parks, I carried openly in Lackawanna State Park last summer, and no one said anything to me about it.
Unbanned since September 2012.

I know some buildings at Gettysburg are off limits to carrying, but as for the park in general, is OC okay or can we only CC?

Both OC and CC are legal at Gettysburg, you just have to stay out of any buildings where federal employees regularly work, like visitors centers.

We had an OC event there the first weekend it was legal...

I believe Core Creek is a county park and they still have signs saying no firearms permitted, at least they still did last summer.

The sign means nothing (if it really is a county park). State law rules.

Open carry is currently against State Park rules, which seems to be a pre-emption violation. I've been working with a legislative staffer for over a year to get it corrected.
