IT IS ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE THAT YOU VOTE TOMORROW, NOV 3 - PA SUPREME COURT

All:

Quite a number of folks both inside and outside of IBEW Local 98, the powerful electricians union in Philadelphia have talked to me over the last 48 hours and let me know of the push outside if Philadelphia for Johnny Doc's brother, Kevin Dougherty, for PA Supreme Court.

I cannot tell you enough how important it is tomorrow to get out the Republican slate.

FOAC has endorsed all three Republican Supreme Court candidates. One of them, Judy Olson, comes with a highly-recommended rating from the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

This is the largest number of vacancies we've had on the Supreme Court since Pennsylvania was a colony. Because it's very difficult to unseat an incumbent judge, we will be stuck with whoever makes it for quite long time. The PA Supreme Court directly influences the drawing of political jurisdictions and hears gun cases on appeal.

Every Democratic candidate for judge has given vague answers on how they will rule on gun cases and therefore they are likely to be toxic to our rights.

Even if you are not registered Republican, you should consider sticking with Republicans at least at this one level of court, and also for Superior/Commonwealth Court in your district before you revert back to your favorite local candidates. To flip the PA Supreme Court to the Democrats will invite new waves of lawsuits from the likes of Moms Demand and Everytown.

The Pennsylvania Uniforms Firearms Act was one of the last great bipartisan compromises that solidified most of our Second Amendment rights in our state. This law is our bible--it is intrinsically complex and has taken eons to learn. The Democrats are poised to turn the UFA into Swiss cheese.

We cannot let this happen.

The next 48 hours are crucial. Please come out on Tuesday.

---Christopher Sawyer
Republican candidate for Sheriff of Philadelphia County

I've been posting about the importance of this election over at PAFOA. Not many seem to care. More people are interested in posting in the "worst 80s song ever" thread than motivating other people to come out and vote Tuesday. I'm following PA FOAC's endorsements. Looks like I'll vote for you, Chris.

Also the last thing we need is Kevin Dougherty as a supreme court justice. I have a gut feeling the feds are all ready keeping close tabs on Johnny Doc.

Just think of all the rallies you WON'T have to go to, since there won't be so many, with the NRA-endorsed judicial candidates on the bench casting a dark cloud over lawsuits strategically engineered to chip-away at our Second Amendment rights.

You know how hard it is to cajole people who live in the urban corners of the state to get in their pickup and haul their butt all the way to Harrisburg. And nobody's covering for your tolls, gas, cigs and food.

I posted this offer over on pafoa as well.

If there is anyone who can't make it to the polls due to needing transportation in the Williamsport, Jersey Shore, Lock Haven area please pm me here or on pafoa and I will try to help you out. I will be home from work tomorrow morning and am available most of the day. I might also be able to help anyone in the Milton, Lewisburg, Selinsgrove areas tomorrow afternoon. I travel south for work and go to that area. I don't have to be back at work until tomorrow night.

The cities and towns with political machines like Philadelphia and Delaware County are likely to have very low turnout.

That's why there are efforts like this:

This is a "voter report card" going out that's aimed ONLY AT AFRICAN-AMERICAN VOTERS IN PHILADELPHIA, since it's coming from the Philadelphia Urban League. Most Democrats stay home for the general election in non-presidential years because they feel the election is a foregone conclusion.

But because there's a PA Supreme Court race going on right now, they are spending the money trying to do GOTV. The Urban League specifically avoided endorsing any judicial candidate but it's expected in the wards that they dropped these report cards which have Democrat registration ratios above 10:1 it's to push the Democratic slate.

That's why EVERY RURAL VOTE MATTERS.

Please talk to your co-workers today about voting. Remind them today, remind them tomorrow. This is a critical vote on Second Amendment rights that affects every single citizen of this state.

One thing though, I thought candidate promotion at the polling place was verboten. Shrug

Speaking of low voter turnout...I walked into my local polling place and the people running the polls looked at me like I was a stranger in a neighborhood bar. I also haven't been called "young man" in quite some time.

Voted, and my polling place was pretty busy. Apparently Kevin Dougherty lives in my area, so he has a lot of support here.

Voted at around 3:30pm, was voter number 103, seems like a low turnout to me considering how built up this area is.
