Very, VERY major step backwards for 2A rights in Pennsylvania. Expect the lawsuits to come trying to chip away at our rights.

How did you do?

I was the top Republican vote getter in Philadelphia County. I attracted roughly 20,000 Republicans and doubled that with an additional 21K Democrats.

It was nowhere near enough to beat Jewell... but if I was in the City Council race, I would be Councilman-Elect Sawyer today.

Erie County doesn't learn either.
The Jackasses took most slots. Shrug

Meanwhile in Connecticut, they elected a democrat, convicted felon of corruption to the office of Mayor. What could possibly go wrong there? Rolleyes

Surprisingly, local County elections were a mixed bag. The Commissioners are now two Republicans to one Democrat. Thankfully, the worst one was voted out. The other important one was the Sheriff was replaced for, hopefully, someone better. He's a former State Police officer, so who knows. Reputation wise, he's supposed to be a move in the right direction. State election wise, the county helped screw the pooch.

Having former state troopers as Sheriffs is an awkward thing. The PSP, in general, doesn't like Sheriffs being able to do anything or enforce anything. Then one retires and gets elected as Sheriff. Now all of the sudden Sheriff's should replace every other police force for primary jurisdiction. Go figure. I'll be working for a new Sheriff in January. Sending out reference letters to LTCF applicants will disappear finally.

I'm kind of caught in the middle when it come to the PSP. I have family that are officers and I've known a couple here and there that seemed pretty decent. And then we have the defacto pistol registration with the PICS system and stories about how some of them act and their attitudes...

One thing though, I thought candidate promotion at the polling place was verboten. Shrug

First off, I'm totally disgusted that Republicans obviously sat home when such important seats were up for grabs.

Secondly, you are concerned about the promotion at the polling places?
Then I hope you are as pissed as I am about the voter bribery that went on in Philly:
A $10,000 prize - for voting in Phila.

Philadelphia woman wins $10,000 prize just for voting

Yea I saw that. No sense in getting mad about that now I guess. They hold all the cards now and won't bite the hand that feeds them.

I guess it's going to be really important now more than before that we hold our Representatives feet to the fire.
I heard that it is being pushed to change the way redistricting is done.
If the libs get their way, it's going to be all over in this state.
Look for PA to become nothing more than New New Jersey...
