It's getting ugly, glad the election will be over soon.

My sister posted this on Facebook. She and my mother were at Bass Pro in Harrisburg for a rally:

***Let this post serve as a warning to everyone to be prepared should Obama not win the election which, if the polls are any indication, is becoming more likely every day.* I attended a Pro Romney rally with my 82 year old mom this evening. We stop to buy a gallon of milk on the way home and as my mom approached the door to enter the store (I was a few feet behind) a middle aged woman held the door for her. She stood at the door until I approached and said "If I had known that was a GOD D@$& Romney sticker on her shirt I would have knocked her A$$ to the ground”. It’s really sad that we have come to a point that you need to be in fear for the safety of your family just for supporting a presidential candidate.

My sister was so taken aback that she said nothing before the woman had left. Likely the best way for it to go.

Kind of puts how "May you live in interesting times" can be viewed as both a blessing and a curse at the same times doesn't it?

We are in for a wild ride. What you have said should not be taken lightly by anyone. We are free to express our support for a candidate but it is becoming extremely dangerous to do so. I for one am hesitant to display any hint in public unless I am at the gun store...

I think there's another thread around here about scumbag Obama supporters.

All I'd need to do is look around at the company I keep and realize that "Obama" is not the camp I want to be in. I'll never understand how anyone could be a part of that.

My mother wondered whether she should put her Romney sticker on her car or if my niece should put one on her car. I told her that unless she or my niece were capable of and willing to physically defend themselves, it wouldn't be wise.

I, on the other hand will be plastering them all over my car. Cool

And THAT is a HUGE understatement.

My favorite part of the whole voting process is walking up to my polling place with my open carried weapon and seeing the look on the obama supporters faces as they try handing me pro obama flyers. Last election I almost burst out laughing. I hope the same people are there again! Big Grin
My guidance counselor said I wouldn't amount to anything... Lucky guess! Dodgy

But do so in daylight.

What a shame it would be if you adorned the rear bumper, trunk lid and even the rear window with Romney-esque right-wing good cheer...only to discover in daylight it was your militant left-wing neighbor's car.

But it would be amusing to see them remove the stickers with a hatchet.

IMO, it probably won't get any better after the election.

If Romney wins, they'll be embittered and resentful and take it out on anybody who looks like they might not have voted for O. (you decide what that means, and I'm not talking about black vs white)

If O wins, the takers will feel even more empowered to "get even" and turn up the hate even more.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.
