IWI Galil ACE In 7.62×39 To Be Released For US Market
#1
How freakin exciting is this?!?!?! I posted this in the rifle section although it will initially be available as a pistol. Hopefully this happens, been looking for the next addition to my 30cal comblock collection. I originally was looking for the micro dracos to hit the market but they seem to have fallen through. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this one actually comes to fruition, I've got a mountain of surplus AK mags almost as big as JustinHEMI's PMag mountain that are itching to play in new toys!

Quote:IWI tells me it will come to market with a price lower than the Tavor which means south of $1600. - See more at: http://www.thebangswitch.com/the-new-iwi...WVVKT.dpuf

I would LOVE to see these in the 1K range.

Check this out...
Quote:A unique feature is the ability to plumb a small pressure switch and cable into the rail system then slide the cover back into place. The pressure switch may then be accessed through the rail cover offering a more integrated solution to the age old problem of how to mount pressure switches for lights in such a way they don’t snag or otherwise interfere with the operation of the rifle.

My only gripe will be with the integrated pistol grip. Not cool. I'd love to get my hands on one to see how the grip feels the way it is but I'm a HUGE fan of all things Hogue. Maybe a slip on overmold for this?

That would probably make that grip comfy as hell, if it isn't already.

A Galil needs to have the original style charging handle. It makes the gun. To me it would be like owning a single-action Colt that didn't make the cool clicking sounds every time you cocked it. Undecided

Still want one, though.

And the skeleton stock and steel lower.

I kinda like the left side charging handle though. As a right handed shooter I won't have to reach under the gun to rack it with my left hand or tilt the gun over to reach over the top and lose my sight picture.
