Jealous
#1
Well, with everything that has been going on with the firearms industry lately, my wife finally decided to buy her own EDC pistol. Up until now, she was carrying a Glock 23 that I transferred to her when we were engaged.

Well, she went and did everything herself and ended up buying a Ruger SR9.

I never really was up close with one until now.

I'm jealous. And there is no way I can justify buying one now, either. Undecided

On the bright side, now she has a gun she loves and will be regularly carrying. Big Grin

I had a Ruger SR40c. I think the Ruger SR-series are under-rated in a world swamped with Glocks, M&Ps, and XDs. They're very fun guns to shoot, and even with the full sized mag in my SR40c, I didn't find it difficult to carry.

I completely agree that they are under-rated. For the cost, I think it is an excellent platform, and should be very easy to conceal.

She's still working on that. She has some options she is considering, but since money is tight (2013 hit us with several significant financial setbacks), she is being very deliberate in picking one out. When she finds one she likes, I will let you know.

Ebay has a lot of affordable and good quality (not all of them are good quality, but if you look hard enough you'll find them) holsters. I just ordered this for my 1911-A1 for $38 + free shipping. ....and yes, that's horsehide too.

Absolutely understand and second that! I did get a couple from the Crossbreed Seconds site, you might check that! Mostly I just use SmartCarry these days with my .380 though, since its quite invisible....though maybe more awkward of a draw.
