Jersey City puts a stop to 3%ers in their midst...
#1
Not a new story, but I don't recall seeing this before. The people's republic of Jersey rooted out a 3%er group within' the precinct and "disciplined" those involved. God forbid Jersey police defend the constitution...Rolleyes There's no room for that in Jersey! How are the police not being persecuted for their political beliefs? I'm surprised the union didn't get involved in this. I wonder how long before the oathkeeper's membership list becomes an outright enemies list.

Adding that stuff to their uniforms crossed the line from an employment standpoint.

Only if it was specifically mentioned in the employee handbook and none of the articles I've seen say it was or wasn't one way or the other. I still find it interesting how the article immediately claims the 3%ers are a pro -militia hate group and racists. I think this has a lot more to do with Jersey City's proximity to Bloomberg's NYC.

My guess is that Emoticon has the true reason, and they used what Emptymag said as the reason to justify it.

No... every police department has rules and regulations including uniform specifications. You don't get to alter your uniform or add patched or change patched just because you want to. It's called a uniform for a reason.

It wouldn't matter if it was Burger King actually - for the reason you ended your post with.

Which reminds me of trying to order food at Popeye's one night.
The two girls working the front were playing around behind the counter and not paying much attention to the fact that we were trying to order dinner.
They had both "customized" their name badges - the one that (finally) took our order was "Sexy Shaniqua". I don't recall the other one's name, but apparently they both felt they were "sexy".

"Sexy steelcityk9cop" - you should try that. Big Grin

Some places encourage employees to be creative with their outfits Tongue

Still though what is it the 3%ers stand for that would be opposed to the regular duties of an LEO? I guess the other cops support the unconstitutional drunk driving checkpoints and shit like that.
