Just ordered my first tomahawk

I just ordered an Estwing Tomahawk from Amazon. With some credit I had, I paid only 34 bucks for it.

Now all you need is a destroyer to launch it from.

I bought one their camp axes after I priced tomahawks from other manufacturers. The axe is great quality, I may have to spring for one of these.

If you can stand the 12-weeks backlog, look at The Traumahawk!

Sounded good until I got to the fine print: Price $239.95

My tomahawk was delivered to the office today. It made a good conversation piece being Halloween.

Nice, hammer like handle is comfortable and easy to grip. Decent weight and good balance. Comes with a nylon sheath with belt loop. End of handle has a hole to thread some paracord through for a lanyard.

Am tempted to test it on some of the zombies here at work, but to kill a zombie you have to destroy the brain and those are in short supply around here.

I was contemplating something besides the gun, fire extinguisher, and largely useless dog to keep bedside for defense and tomahawk/axe was near the top of the list.

How did you like what you ordered? Any recommendations for what to keep bedside?

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
