I got to shoot one of these the other day and I have to say I loved it. Does anyone own one or have any other feedback on them.

Huh, I thought they were vaporware. I'd like to get my hands on one, but I'm not willing to pay the premium folks are asking on places like gunbroker.

Great concept, nice looking guns, some issues:

1. Keltec
2. $899 msrp
3. Lower Picatinny rail is made of plastic, upper rail is metal. People have been putting forward grips on them and shredding the lower rail off.

The one i got to shoot had the Magpul AFG on the front and it racked pretty nicely.

Did you switch between feed tubes while shooting it?

Was the lower rail still plastic?

I loved the concept of these when they came out but will wait until all the bugs get worked out, production picks up so I can actually find one and then if the price is right pick it up. Seems like I still have a while to wait.

No, I didn't get to switch tubes. I would like to have been able to try that.

I'm pretty sure the front rail was still plastic.

I can understand Keltec going with a plastic forearm on this. Having handled one at a gunshow, it's heavy in the front, and I'm sure one fully loaded it's even heavier. I'd guess they were trying to save on weight on the front.

Maybe they should put something in their documentation that a VFG is not recommended with a plastic forearm and only lights and lasers should be mounted there. Or maybe offer an option for a metal forearm.
