Insane. Nothing like putting a target on the back of a law-abiding citizen for all the criminals to see. How would those dopes at L&I feel about THEIR names, addresses and other info posted? Would THAT be a rights infringement? After all, they're "public" officials, right?

Philly blows.

They could expose this data but not on a map, and not with the complete name of the applicant or other useful identifying info, other than a surname. I would actually like to see statistics on what the denial rates are at the PPD Gun Permit Unit and what the denial reasons are; if nothing but to make their office a bit more transparent.

Now if you take the City to Common Pleas, your business is pretty much all out there on the public record. It's been that way for a very long time and that's not changing, or going to change.

Okay, we all know that part...but using a revolver to denote LTCF applicants, denied or not? Pointing out a segment of a population according to...what? Jeez...seems like a bit of a bias to me. Also (still) seems like a complete invasion of privacy for...what, exactly?
