Lately when I click the little green "last unread post" arrow I'm being taken to the first post in the thread, not the last, anyone else?

Nope. I have always used the "Last Post" on the right side, and never the arrow. I didn't even know that arrow was clickable. Blush

I just checked it with the motivational poster thread, and it DID take me to the first unseen post, not the first post in the thread.

It's supposed to take you to the last unread post, but it's taking me to the first post in the thread, normally in the threads with more than one page of posts. The Last Post link you mention takes me to the very last post, not the first unread post.

It worked properly for me but like curmudgeon said I didn't even know that you could do it that way until you said something.

If you have marked all forums read, it will not work as described...it only takes you to the first unread post when there are new posts to be read.

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

I'm more interested in the FIRST unread post, and that's where it takes me.
If it's a thread I've posted in I've already seen the first post. I want to go further down the line but I don't want to go all the way to the end, I want to pick up where I left off and that's what I've been getting here.
The V-Bulletin system that is so popular took me anywhere but where I wanted to be. Sometimes it would put me at the first post, sometimes at the last post or usually at a random post in the midst of the thread, very rarely would it put me back to the last post I read or the first one I haven't read, and that's where I wanted to go. So far this software seems to be a big improvement and this is one of the areas that I thought improvement was needed, as a matter of fact I was getting close to posting that in the Support and Suggestions sections on PAFOA but then a new place to spend my "spare time" showed up and it didn't matter any more.

I kinda thought so. It's working fine for me and I'm using a really outdated version of Firefox, 3.6 if I remember correctly.
