Latest Letter From Your Mayor
#1
As you might know, I get all the letters, etc. that Mayors Against Guns, (I refuse to call them Mayors Against Illegal Guns as that is a lie). Here is the latest. As you'll see, the story in the letter is about a woman whose baby sitting in a car seat was killed by a convicted felon who even she admits should not have had access to a gun.

But, none of that matters to Bloomberg and company and the mother is just being used. But, this kind of story is exactly what gets mothers who read it and who don't know anything about guns or gun laws to join the anti-gun band wagon. We need to be telling stories that also appeal to the emotions of the same mothers so they can hear and feel what it is like to have lives saved by gun owners.

We're getting our butts kicked in this part of the battle. Bloomberg hires the best marketers and they are making people cry. And, when they cry, they buy. Here's the letter.

Dear Bob,

My name is Mary Beth Hacke.

My son, Ryan, was only 14-months old when he was killed in his car seat by a stray bullet. No mother should have to go through that, and his life should have never been cut short.

Ryan's killer was a convicted felon, and should have never have been able to get a gun to begin with.

That’s why I'm in Washington, DC this week to tell my members of Congress about my son and ask them to act now to fix our broken gun laws and save the lives of other Americans.

I'm here with more than 120 gun violence survivors and family members of victims from around the country.

I hope you'll support what we're doing by calling your members of Congress from Pennsylvania TODAY.

Thank you for making Pennsylvanian voices heard at this critical moment,

Mary Beth Hacke

She is not the best marketer. She, like the rest of them, twist the truth.

Mary Beth Hacke was an original member of CeasefirePA.

Her CeasefirePA biography was removed:
Quote:Mary Beth Hacke, 501©(4) joined the CeaseFire PA board as one of the original members. Her son was killed ten years ago, at the age of fourteen months, when he was shot at in their parked car at a gas station, by a convicted felon with a gun. Ever since then throughout her Pittsburgh community, she has been outspoken against lax regulations which allow criminals easy access to handguns.

Had an anti Corbett ad paid for by Bloomberg:

WhiteFeather sums it up best over @ PAFOA:
WhiteFeather Wrote:You are not going far enough here, the previous recidivist violent criminal Vaughn Mathis, the murder of Ryan Hacke was on PRE TRIAL release, allowed to freely walk the streets for attempted murder, gang rape, sodmizing (sp) with a weapon that it took that victim two years to heal from that attack and still was NEVER charged with a firearm offensive.

You all know those weak no existent gun laws that IF they were applied instead of used as a DA plea bargain tool that rape crime and that murder along with lots of crimes wouldn’t have happened had the perps done the time for past crimes with firearms, not to mention any others.

IF the Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr and the judge had done their job her son would be alive today. Silence on this its uncomfortable FACT yet it was ONLY the gun fault and weak gun laws in PA is what Mary Beth Hacke always claims is ONLY responsible for her son’s death.

The Second Amendment does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not infringe our right.

I didn't mean she is a marketer. Only that Bloomberg hires the best money can buy and they are the people running the Mayors campaign for him as well as many more.

This is great information and it needs to be seen by all those moms who read what the Mayors put out.

So even if the bio is off by a few years this still took place during the AWB. As in during the first time semi-autos & hi-cap mags were banned and accomplished nothing. Yet these twits want to preach to us about common sense laws?

WF nailed it...Judges and Attorneys who allow things like that to occur should be held responsible.
