Sen. Lautenberg introduced a bill that would make it illegal to manufacture or sell a magazine w/ 10+ rounds http://www.politico.com/blogs/on-congres...54907.html

More and more, it sounds like these laws aren't being passed because they want to end violence, but because the government realizes it is falling apart and is seeking to defend itself.

Yep! Maybe Frank should ask his grandparents how gun control worked for them during WWII!

Sounds like another one of those half thought through proposals. Where will police and military get their gear if it cannot be manufactured here any more? Or does he really intend to limit them as well?

I just got done discussing this and the subject of AR's with a friend in WV. I was amazed at his closing (as in his mind is closed) point of view.

Here's my bottom line. I believe very strongly in the 2nd amendment and I'm licensed to carry. But if I need to protect myself with a military style weapon there's way more going on than a need to protect myself.

He thinks all AR's, AK's etc. need to banned along with anything over 10 rounds in a magazine. SIGH!

Just the fact that he used the term "military-style weapon" shows what side he is really on. Did he say anything about saving children or crime-control? Might be better to just cut ties with people like this. I have and have been a lot happier!
