Light on an M1 carbine?
Anyone have ideas or info on mounting a light on an M1 carbine?

Buy a rail and drill it into the bottom of your stock. Then add the light. It would probably be better though if you could get a polymer stock to do this. Also if you have an M-1 Carbine with a WWII stock on it, you're probably going to piss a lot of people off (including myself) if you mount a rail onto it. If you bought a reproduction M-1 Carbine (like Auto Ordance) then you can do whatever you want to it.

I believe that you could use a barrel clamp mount with rails, and then attach the light to the rail.

CTD may have the mount.

Just save up for the early night vision scopes with the big IR light on top.
