Looking for a range
#1
ok, so here are the requirements I am looking for in a range...

No loaded rounds limits (like SGL limits)
at least 100 yd rifle range (longer is better)
pistol range
ability to shoot at my own steel targets, bowling pins, etc
allow kids to shoot (while supervised by parent/guardian of course)
not too crowded
inexpensive yearly dues

I am in the Bartonsville area, and my brother in law is in the Bushkill/Marshalls Creek area, so someplace that is easily accessible to both would be great, but we are both willing to travel a bit if we can find the right place!

I would recommend Easton Game and Fish, from the Bushkill/Marshalls creek area it's about 40-45 miles South. You can do all those things except shooting at bowling pins, etc. I believe steel targets can be used if approved by the club.

I wish we had ranges in the area that allowed the use of "Fun" targets but my research has shown that we're SOL. Sad

I'd check Guthsville but they won't take new members until next year

+1 for Guthsville and EFG. Both are really nice outdoor ranges that should be able to meet your needs...

they do seem to meet the needs, except for location. they aren't too bad for me, but I am also looking for a place that is not too bad for my brother in law as well, and they are close to 2 hours for him. really hoping to find something north of the Windgap area

The problem is this area really lacks any decent outdoor range unless you want to drive. I have made peace with that fact.

Perhaps Blue Ridge Cherry Valley? Its the area I think you are looking for (Snydersville) but not sure on their rules
