Over the last year I have reviewed four distinctly different take-down firearms that can each fill a unique niche stuffed in different types of bug out bags ranging from big power, lightweight and ultra light design, and reliable utility. These firearms include the Henry AR-7 Survival Rifle, Mossberg JIC II Shotgun, the Pack Rifle, and the Ruger 10/22 Takedown model. http://www.alloutdoor.com/2014/03/07/low...Newsletter

Gun talk! WOO-HOO!!!

Of the 22s, the Henry makes the most sense as a "survival" rifle.

Not sure why th[/align]e Mossberg is even in the mix. I guess simply because it's marketed that way.

Look at that...someone else who thinks tossing a gun in gravel makes a great back drop. Tongue

The Henry would be the way I would go too.

I have an old AR7 that while I love the concept is basically a one shot rifle as it jams all of the time with all types of ammo. Wonder how the Henry version is?

Also have the 10/22 take down it think its brilliant.

I had an old one like you and it sucked, I ended up being so fed up with it I destroyed it. I now have the Henry version and although I havent fired it a lot it has ran ok at the range.

No mine does not. I picked it up when Henry first took it over.

ok thanks. Been looking on line and they seem to all have them now. I also noticed that you can now fit 2 mags in the stock which is a nice since my POS only holds 1.
