LTCF Address Change
#1
I have applied, and been accepted to the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School out in Pittsburgh. I don't know exactly when I'm moving but I do know it will be before my LTCF expires in 2015. What is the process for changing my LTCF to a new address and will the epiration date change to reflect the new issuance date?

From all I have read the procedure is to simply advise your current/former Sheriff's Office of the new address. There is no change-of-address card and no new license is issued, they just note it so your reminder and application can be sent to you at your new address. It is also important in the event they they decide to revoke, so you would be advised promptly.

There is nothing in the law requiring you to change your address. Some offices will issue you a new one with the same expiration date and your new address. Most won't. We simply advise people to make sure your driver's license is changed (within 15 days, it is the law).
