MAG This Saturday in Philly AGAIN!

Here's the latest from Mayors Against Guns. They are having another rally this Saturday in Love Park.

Bob --

The battle for gun reform has reached a fever pitch in Washington, DC.

This morning, Senators Pat Toomey (R-PA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced a strong, bipartisan compromise that would require background checks for all gun sales at gun shows and online. As the Senate prepares for a high-profile debate on this and other proposals, the news media are reporting a different story every few minutes.

But behind all the noise and political maneuvering, we can't lose sight of the people whose lives have been devastated by gun violence.

This is about people, not politics. And this Saturday in Philadelphia, and communities around the country, we are coming together to make it clear that We Have Not Forgotten.

We have not forgotten Newtown, Aurora, Tucson, Fort Hood, Virginia Tech, or Columbine. We have not forgotten the 33 Americans who are murdered with guns every day in this country.

We're organizing "We Have Not Forgotten and Demand Action" events with our friends at Organizing for Action, and I hope you will RSVP for an event in your community:

What: "We Have Not Forgotten" Philadelphia Event

When: Saturday, April 13, 1:00 PM

Where: Love Park
1599 John F Kennedy Blvd
Philadelphia, PA

We're building up to a historic moment, and we wouldn't be here without you. But we've got to keep the momentum going to pass common sense legislation that will save lives.

I hope to see you on Saturday, and thank you for all of your support.
