Magazine Ban in the House next week.
#1
I couldn't find it posted on PA2A but it was posted on PAFOA about a Magazine Ban during the next Congressional Session in early January, I decided to post the article here in case people aren't aware:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/28...76838.html

Here is the original thread from PAFOA:

I went ahead and contacted Speaker of the House John Boehner and my Representative Tom Marino. Both of their D.C. voice mail boxes are filled to capacity as about an hour ago so I left a voice mail with Tom Marino's local office, sent an E-Mail to John Boehner and faxed both of them (Including a duplicate fax to Tom Marino local and D.C. office). Hopefully the full voice mail box means firearm owners are letting them know they're against this.

My fax/E-Mail was just a short and simple (3 Sentence) message asking them to bury this law.

I decided to post the message from PAFOA in it's entirety:

Call Boehner TODAY and leave a message:

# Office of the Speaker
# H-232 The Capitol
# Washington, DC 20515
# Phone: (202) 225-0600

Call him next week as well. Also call your House Rep, look them up here:

http://capwiz.com/gunowners/dbq/officials/

I just called them both and I'm sending out a new round of letters. But phone calls will be the most important due to the timing.

Make sure all your friends do it, too.

If this passes the House, it WILL be the law, and it will never be rescinded.

Quote:"I'm not so naïve as to think that we can pass some law that will stop a deranged person from taking a gun and shooting people," DeGette told The Huffington Post two weeks ago. "What I am interested in is making it as difficult as possible for that deranged person to shoot as many people as possible."

Because reloading a mag in a few seconds is such an awkward task when you're the only person armed in a gun free slaughter zone.Rolleyes

I didn't get into great details as I didn't want the respondents attention span to wane so I just stated: "I believe such a law will do nothing to prevent any future tragedy's and only punish law abiding Americans who use them."

Oh I know, I was just trying to convey your thoughts to my elected officials about the stupidity of banning any magazine that holds more than 10 rounds.

Listen people, this seems to be a serious threat that can go into effect weeks before a renewed AWB goes to a vote. I implore you to start contacting the Speaker of the House and your Representatives right now, this seems to be a backdoor way for the Liberals to screw over the firearm owners of America as support for a harsh AWB wanes. The bad news about this seems to be if it passes the chances of repelling such a law seem slim to none.

I will also be passing on this article to several YouTube firearm celebrities in the hope that they will inform their viewers of this new threat to their rights. For those that subscribe to their channels I ask that you can do the same. Thanks for your time.

A pre-emptive strike is fine. Just make sure your Congressman is returning in the next session!

I hope all of you have been emailing Boehner and whoever your Rep is.

Unfortunately Alyson Schwatz is 100% Obamite, but I emailed anyway.

I just finished sending out this Huffington Post article to 23 different YouTube channels that are Pro-2A, their subscribers number from several hundred to tens of thousands. I am hoping they realize the threat, make a video and let their uses know. I know it's a long shot but I had to try.

I am also sending out my message to our Senator's tomorrow when I get home to work, I stalled on that too long.
