Magpul still selling to LEOs/Feds
#1
I thought that this company had our backs? Has anyone else heard this?

Quote: . . . our Distributors are allowed to sell to LEOs in ban states. Our founder has also said regarding LEO restrictions, “We have not considered such a move as we are not convinced that this tactic will have any effect on those in power (they will just buy Israeli or some other generic parts). It also adversely punishes street cops, local sheriffs and individual military members for the actions of those in power. The last thing we want to do is hurt those who support our cause.”

I hope this is wrong, I really do. Over the past couple of days they acted in a way I respect, this could take all of that and dash it.
My guns have killed less people than Obama's ATF has.

Yeah, I just skimmed some of what was posted on pafoa and arfcom.

Apparently they are going with the same "go fuck yourself" reply that Armalite gave in regards to boycotting companies selling to agencies/LEOs in ban affected areas.

They just did it with more words and tact.

That and the fact that people simply can't go on living without PMAGS means that they could bend over and receive anal sex from Joe Biden on the White House lawn and all would be good.

It's MAGPUL - they will do as they please.

I actually think that it is more than that with MagPul. I think that they probably have several contracts that they have no choice but to fulfill, I know that they have one or two with the feds. If they also have some with LEOs, that would force them to make those contracts complete before they could refuse any other sales. Just something to think about and I could be wrong.

My thoughts exactly. A sales boycott is all well and good until the manufacturer of one of the best mags out there goes against it.

It would not have been hard for them to explain that.

But people would not so readily accept a business decision over "the right thing to do".

Or in this case, a long-winded "justification" for not being on board with refusing to sell to ban states.

Hey, I could definitely be wrong, but as I said I know that they have contracts with .gov for stocks and pmags for certain units. They may have felt that the long-winded way was the best way to explain it fearing that Joe and Jane Average would see the contract explanation as a feeble attempt at justification. We all know people who would have thought that way. I don't know for sure, I don't have an in with the company, but it makes sense.

Not any more. But had many and if it was worth my time I would have no issue filling them. But then again, I base my buying decisions on the product. I'm actually typing this on a iPad made by Chinese slave labor and sold by a ultra left company. I also drink coke and have no clue about their thoughts about guns. Smile
