Quote:NEW YORK, April 3, 2014 /NEWS.GNOM.ES/ – Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America released the following statements in response to the shooting at Ft. Hood today in which four people were killed (including the shooter by his own hand) and 16 were injured. A fact sheet on the 2009 mass shooting at Ft. Hood is available here.

“Our thoughts are with all those at Ft. Hood tonight as another tragedy unfolds among the heroes who have given their utmost for our country,” said Mark Glaze, executive director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

“We don’t know all the details, but days like this remind us that killers with illegal guns murder 33 more people every day across America. This March marked the first month in 11 years with no military fatalities in Iraq or Afghanistan. And yet we start the spring with military fatalities on our own home front.”

It's the "BILL OF RIGHTS" not the bill of "needs"

Then why does these shootings always happen in "gun free zones"?

You notice how rare shootings happen in police stations? Thats because they are all armed and the lunatic wouldnt stand a chance. Its a military base but they cant be armed. That just doesnt seem right.

"Illegal guns?". Has there been a fact released about that yet? I haven't heard many details at all about the shooter or his weapons.

Or is this another convenient MAIG lie?

From what I've heard so far he purchased the firearm legally at a local shop but, since he didn't live on post, did not register the firearm on post. Technically he shouldn't have had it on post and that would make it "illegal" but then again if the military had reported his mental status to NICS he probably wouldn't have been able to purchase the firearm. Of course federal law would have to change in order for the military to be able to report his mental status so...... Shrug
