I'm passing along info for anyone who would like to know how or just curious. This site is the best out there as far as everything you need to know. If you need to know more or just have some questions, I'm here for you. Enjoy!

On this subject, I am remember back to some show I watched where people were put into a situation where the world had been wiped out, and one group of them made a wood gasifier.

Here is a site that has some links on that as well:
http://www.woodgasifiers.com/

Good find though.

The Colony, Season 1 Episode 2. Their first attempt at making one failed, but they tried a different design and got it to work.

Just note, the first season of The Colony was very good, the second sucked sweaty balls. If you can find it, watch it.

I've seen those gasifiers before but I went this route instead.
Funny thing is I only waited under a month for ATF approval
In past expirences with them I was surprised at the turn around.

I've heard that it's illegal to distill your own alcohol, is this true?

From wikipedia:
Quote:However, it is illegal to distill beverage alcohol without a license anywhere in the US. In some jurisdictions, it is also illegal to sell a still without a license.

From my understanding of the topic, you can get a small batch license or a license to produce ethanol from the ATF and its not hard.

Hmmm, I wonder if the wait for approval is as long as for an NFA tax stamp. Rolleyes

Didn't P89 say that he waited under a month a few posts back?
