GREAT checklist in the article! Tongue

Quote:We sat down to try to think of the absolute worst locations imaginable to pull out a gun and try to shoot somebody.

•Submarine
•Propane tank storage facility
•The White House
•Spaceship
•U.S. Marine Base
•Krav Maga convention
•Fireworks factory
•Nuclear power plant
•Gun store

Well, evidently common sense isn’t quite as common as we thought. A man was shot and killed at a gun store in Indianapolis, Indiana, after he opened fire on a gun store clerk.

So the perp drew and opened fire, and the clerk was able to return fire at close range on a moments notice. I'd say that's skilled that the clerk was able to draw, fire and take the suspect down all while shot/under fire himself.

This sounds like natural selection taking its course.

I agree with both points. It sounds like the BG wasn't thinking clearly and got what he had coming him. Fortunately, it looks like the clerk will survive even though he was injured.

The clerk also really had his act together to be able to give effective return fire while taking rounds himself...

According to the story, "...it’s against store policy for customers to carry loaded guns inside the store unless they’re at the indoor range." So the gun store is a gun free zone except for employees. If the clerk went down, I guess the customers are left to pee their pants and prepare to meet Jesus.

Perhaps that's why the perp tried to rob this particular gun store...

I think he was just dumb.
You have a right to protect yourself and a duty to protect your family.

Yeah, that's a very unusual gun store policy. At least around these parts. I wouldn't even go to a gun store that didn't permit me to carry my sidearm.
