Mexican Border Fence May Have “Disparate Impact On Minorities”
#1
Quote:A Homeland Security initiative to put fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border could discriminate against minorities, according to an Obama-appointed federal judge who’s ruled that the congressionally-approved project may have a “disparate impact on lower-income minority communities.”

This of course means that protecting the porous—and increasingly violent—southern border is politically incorrect.

A 2006 federal law orders the construction of fencing or a wall along the most vulnerable portions of the nearly 2,000-mile southern border. This includes reinforced fencing along 700 miles of the southwest border with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) determining the exact spots.

Pay attention to these 2 words. We are going to be hearing a lot of this crap.
The Second Amendment does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not infringe our right.

If the people who are trying to be blocked are indeed minorities, logic necessitates that it would have a negative affect on minorities Shrug

Funny how so many don't seem to care about the disparate impact that asinine gun laws have on people.

Meh. Carlos Slim owns much of everything on the American side of the border anyway. The wall doesn't do much.

When my father was a little boy there were no fences and you could swim across the Rio Grande and go play in the streets in Raynosa as long as you swam back in time for supper. There were four towns in TX where the main drag of the town was literally the international border.

Nobody spoke English in any of those places and they still don't. My father was from McAllen and if you were white and speak English you were, and now very much are, a minority. My cousins still live down there and when they go to the mall they're the only white people there. Nobody gives a shit--always been that way. You learn quickly if you move to Texas that you're very much still a part of Mexico.

But then you'll never want to leave because once you've gotten used to waking up in the morning and going out for breakfast tacos, you'll never look back.
