Mike Wallace Knives.
I found this guy on PAFOA, he posted about starting a new business making knives. Since I was in the market for a new knife, and lately, I've been trying to patronize local craftsman..., even so far as finding a local potter to make me a soap dish..., I decided to give Mike a try. I couldn't be happier with the results. I was looking at knives from folks like ESEE, Tops, etc.

So I went ahead and decided to give this local craftsman a try, and I have to say, he is a true craftsman in every sense of the word. I don't have one ounce of regret with purchasing a knife from Mike over the other top name brands.

I'm no knife connoisseur, but the quality of this knife is second to none, IMO. It has a nice heft and balance, and the G10 handle makes for a sure and comfortable grip. I love the copper touches and the sheath is just as high quality as the knife.

This thing is almost too nice for me to take into the woods, but I bought it for hiking and backpacking, and I look forward to putting it to good use. I have no doubt that I'll get many many years of use out of this knife.

Mike was extremely easy to deal with, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new knife, that also likes to support local craftsman.

Thanks again Mike!

Nice score, man. The leather work looks solid, too, even though I'm not a fan of deep carry sheaths; they take too long to deploy in emergencies. I'm gonna have to check him out.

Very pretty knife. Reminds me that I have to fix the burner on my forge. Angry

Thanks! The sheath is deep, but for my purposes, it's what I need.

I always appreciated his posts and demeanor on the other forum. I am glad to hear his knives live up to my impression of him.

I will strongly keep him in mind the next time I am ready to spring for a quality knife.

Hey JustinHEMI, thanks for all the great pics. and kind words. As stated on the other forum, it was a fun build and you were great to work with. I appreciate the opportunity to make it for you. And thanks to all for the positive responses. Internet troll, right back at ya. You are a solid guy and your posts always make me laugh. A kinder, gentler Internet troll if you will....
