If so, why would we want to arm them and train them to take down other armed people??

Not all of them are. There are "good teachers". I mean, they may seem like unicorns or white buffaloes or peaceful Muslims in their rarity... But they do exist.

I know, I was being facetious. We seem to go from despising government employees like teachers for simply being government employees to lauding them and cheering them when they do what we want. I'm more a middle ground kinda guy on a lot of these, I WANT good government employees, especially teachers.

I know. I was trying to be facetiously "fair & balanced".

You are onto me. Damn freedom...... I hate it and must corrupt the minds of tomorrow. Wink
Everytime we look the other way when someone else loses rights we disagree with, we make it easier to lose the rights we support.

I don't think I really condemn the teachers as individuals....more the entire federal entity of school being a federally funded and controlled thing where only government approved ideas are allowed and taught. I'm definitely for localized, privatized schools. Regardless, though.....we do need armed protection in our schools.
