Most Likely Scenarios

My actual concern with a pandemic is not one that is naturally occurring. Normally the right agencies are on top of those fairly quickly to contain and cure. I'm more concerned with a manufactured pandemic.

Or something man-made that then gets tangled in with something natural resulting in a bigger oops than anyone could imagine.

I'll be honest, the bugs kinda scare me.

It would not surprise me in the slightest to find that someone is working on weaponizing Ebola, or trying to cross Rabies with a Flu. Consider the plot of 12 Monkeys where they developed a nasty bug and then one guy went on an around the world trip to all the major cities within a couple of days.

Honestly, I believe it. And in today's world finding mules to deliver it globally would not be hard. The only deterrent is that these little bugs are equal opportunity killers, so unless they've developed a vaccine or anti-bodyfor themselves, they'd be playing russian rouletter releasing it.

Side note, was on a plane to Raleigh-Durham earlier this year. A few days later down there I'm sick as a dog. Cold, fever, cough, awful. Wife and I trying to figure out what happened. As we walked through the days leading up to it she remembers some guy on the airplane 2 or 3 rows behind us coughing a lot during the flight. I had headphones on and didn't pay any attention to it. For me, he was patient zero.

If there is a bug, it will be global in days.

#1 is always flooding.

In SE PA we have had flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, and an earthquake this year. Extended power outage in some areas.

I do believe we are nearing an economic collapse as the debt increases in an out of control manner.
A gun rack in a pick-up is not for holding guns. Its a place for women to hold on to. Smile

Pshhhh, that wasn't even an earthquake. More like Rosie O'donnell fell out of bed or something.

I am starting to agree with those who see a pandemic comming. I think it will start because a pig black market will spring up soon. I mean I can't begin to think of life without bacon or ham.

(Take it as a joke I am one of you).

Allow me to scare you now. There's a reason why there hasn't been a case of trichinosis in the US for decades. Because of the tight controls put on pig farmers. So if a black market were to rise in relation to pigs, you'll start seeing a rise of trichinosis again. Just be happy that trichinosis isn't contagious.

Not to mention Swine Flu...

I was only half joking. I know the dangers of pork not being controled properly. I actually read a long article in a medical journal at a doctors office many years ago. It scared the crap outta me.
