MSNBC Calls This News and Grassroots Trouble
#1
This woman is so biased her lips are dripping with sarcasm and her sneer makes me want to do things I don't want to write here. The one guy speaking is from Lehigh University in Philly which is why I found the clip.

It doesn't do any good to comment on their site about how biased they are and how they are fanning the flames of unrest. They want us to comment because they control the "ink" and always have the last word.

It may be fine that we are contacting all our reps (and I'm doing that) but I think we are losing at the grass roots level where I'm spending a lot of time. People (especially women and Jews) are very anti and when questioned, they don't even know why for sure other than guns are dangerous and there is no need for anyone to have all these guns.

Obama won the first election by organizing at the grass roots level and then using social media and just plain knocking on doors to energize enough people to get him elected. You can rest assured he/they are using the same playbook now. Look at all the Mommy groups that are springing up. And, we have no grassroots organization, a strategy for putting one in place, or even a playbook of tactics. That's where I think our national organizations are failing us. I know thousands of us want to do more than call our representatives and meet at the state capitols. Where's the plan? Where's the playbook?

The antis have had years preparing and planning and they aren't using lobbying techniques to win. They are in the trenches and they are gathering masses of people who have no idea why they are supporting gun control other than it sounds like the right thing to do and their friends are doing it too. Once that snowball starts growing in size and speed it will be difficult to ask a congressman or senator to publicly throw themselves in front of it.

I've written two letters to the NRA with no response concerning what we can do besides write letters and make calls to reps.

It all has to start somewhere. If you feel the need for a grass roots group, start one!
When they come for my guns; It is not my right, at that point,
but my responsibility to respond in the name of liberty.

I was going to reply to little things they said. Like the guy saying it was race based. Or the pin head on the bottom just running his mouth.

But there is just too much stupid in that video.

Fucking. Morons. All I keep hearing is "baaah baaah".
This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins. -Ben Franklin

Yep. Just had one on the 19th, the second one is tomorrow, the third one is February 8.

OK boys and girls, this is MSNBC you're talking about, not a channel that most people watch. This is the far left's channel du jour that they use to whip up frenzies amongst their whack job base. I know devoted dems who won't watch the channel, way too far to the left for them. On top of that you're talking about a clip from Martin Bashir, someone who has been fighting to get the 2nd repealed for years. There is absolutely nothing worth watching in the clip and it is NOT something that Joe or Jane Average would be willing to pay attention to.

MSNBC is geared towards the far left of the population and has fairly low ratings to boot.

What needs to happen (from the firearms rights community)at this point are radio and TV commercials featuring people, especially women and seniors, that defended themselves with firearms to prevent rape of themselves or thir children, or worse.

They need to infer that gun-control advocates are encouraging violence against women and seniors by pushing their agenda.
A gun rack in a pick-up is not for holding guns. Its a place for women to hold on to. Smile

Funny how the left always says that. The difference is that the vast majority of the programming on Fox is actual news whereas on MSNBC the majority of programming is opinion based. Of course to the left that is news so...

Why is Fox News considered equal to MSNBC? Is it because they--unlike ANY major news network--say something negative about Obama?

Please, find me something on CNN, CBS, PBS, or ABC that puts Obama in any light other than glowing.

And the recent "horror" of Beyonce lip syncing during his inauguration doesn't count Wink
