My 11 Round Sig Sauer P238 Pocket 1911?!?!

That's right. 10+1 in a pocket 1911. Original magazines are 6 rounds and they have come out with seven round Sig mags with x-grip extensions on them. If you've ever bought Sig factory mags you will know they are EXTREMELY expensive and all mags have dried up in recent times so they are hard to find. There are other choices out there like ProMag, I know I know the name ProMag is synonymous with failure but in my experience they work great unlike my preconceived misconceptions. ProMags are about 30 dollars cheaper than factory mags so they are quite desirable but again hard to find now.

One other choice is to buy Colt Mustang mags. After doing some research and reading testimonials about this alternative I've read great things about these. Other people who have tried them have said they work and fit just like the P238 mags so I started looking around. Wouldn't you know I probably found the last two 10 rounders out there at the moment?! 10 rounds? AWESOME! Originally I was looking to pick up some seven rounders but I had to jump on the 10 rounders. Price was still great and they both came in the mail today for 60 bucks total. After function testing with snap caps they seemed to cycle just fine. They lock in nice and solid when inserted and drop freely when released. If I can get my hands on a mag extension like the x-grips I could be looking at 11+1 or more with these! Backup mag potential? YOU BET!

Official range report coming soon! For now, some PICTURES!!!

Yea, I never dreamed of having a 10 rounder for the p238 so I was excited anyway. I saw one or two others on eBay when I ordered this one. One black and one silver. If I had the money I would've snagged them all but settled for just these two. Hope she finds them!

The photos were taken on my Motorola Xoom Smile

I have Hogue grips coming for my p238 and the ol' lady's too. New pictures then.

OK, after more than two months I finally amassed enough ammo in today's ammo shortage climate to justify a range test with the new magazines. I fired a total of 40 rounds of Winchester white box FMJ's through both mags and they functioned flawlessly to my surprise. Granted this isn't a full torture test but if you want to send some .380 my way I would be glad to fire a thousand rounds using themBig Grin.

Conclusion, colt mustang 10 round magazines worked well in my sig sauer p238 and I would recommend them to anyone on the fence about getting their own.

The pics reminded me that I had purchased a box of .380 recently that had the flat nose bullets. I had never seen that before.

Anyway, pretty cool that the Colt mags work. I have a Pony and I never knew they made 10 round mags that would fit.

Yea, I suppose any hollow point would work in these magazines as well too due to the fact that the shape of the HP round is similar to the Winchester FMJ's instead of round nosed.

I found my 10 rounders on flea bay by chance, after looking for more I can't find them. I'm guessing they are rare to come by. They make the 7 rounders for the p238 as well as the colts I believe so if anyone is looking I think they are easier to find.

I have SIG 1911/45 and Sig 238 Liberty Bell
Both no complains. I did hear about ammo feed with 238 but
I have given it many different brands and all work well.

And the holster w/ Sig 238-- stay with it.
It work great and you will be able the cross it.
wear it either side and it work just fine.
