[Negative] Ammo2u.com - bad policy
#1
On behalf of the many patriotic residents of CO (and other states), I urge a complete boycott of the online vendor Ammo2U.com.

This vendor refuses sales in CO because of the recent legislation. Not just state government agencies, but the citizens of the state as well. The vendor makes a strongly worded statement critical of gun control, including the need for citizens to resist it, but then enables the disarmament of the citizens by refusing ammunition sales to those that need it most.

UNACCEPTABLE!

Which do you agree with below? Please consider a complete boycott of Ammo2u until they understand that there are good people behind the lines who do not deserve to be punished for the political climate, and remember my fellow PA patriots, it could happen here too.

The public statement from Ammo2u.com:
Quote:We are currently not selling or shipping ammunition to the states of CO, CT, and NY because of new gun legislation in these states. If you have an issue with this new policy please talk with your state government about the new legislation.

A letter from a brother in arms behind the lines in CO:
Quote:To whom it may concern,

I am one of the good guys behind enemy lines in the peoples republic of Colorado. We are fighting the new gun laws tooth and nail and now you are saying the you will not supply the people who need it most. Your company seems to be in the business of punishing the law abiding gun owners of Colorado and that is totally unforgivable in my eyes. My hopes is that you are simply misguided and if that is the case change your policy and show your support to the people who got caught up in this mess. Take a note from the patriotic pages of Magpul's book. They have my undying support for what they did for us. If not I will never buy from you because of your Colorado boycott. Between my wife's family and my own we cover 7 states outside of Colorado and I will be contacting each and every gun owning member of our family to let them know of your policy. If you refuse to change your policy view you as no better than hickenlooper, bloomberg or feinstein.

That is just foolish. I can honestly understand where they are coming from. But why stop sales to civilians?

It is their statement, and although I don't agree with it, they have every right to restrict sales like that. I just think the people in those states would be the real money makers.
This will be the best security for maintaining our liberties. A nation of well-informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the religion of ignorance that tyranny begins. -Ben Franklin

Playing devils advocate here, if the people who want to buy ammo...especially the fudds's...suffer at every turn because of the law, wouldn't that motivate them to fight harder?

You would think that it would have to. It's a private business so they can deal with whoever they want.

That's one way of looking at it, but how does that differ from taking guns away from the law abiding because some idiot unstable person went and kills someone? There are many non-Fudd patriotic people in CO who will be penalized.

The people have an expectation and duty to oppose unjust laws, and seek to have them changed. If they do not, then it becomes necessary for an outside influence to force their hand or suffer ALL the consequences.

Sounds like this company is essentially saying, "if you're not willing to stand up and fight for this to be overturned then you have not earned the right to purchase from us."

It's a reverse boycott...how many here will still buy Remington now that they were bought with an 80 million dollars US Govt contract and will now be staying in NY....the state where it's employees cannot own the gun they make?

I do not see the correlation between the two situation. Remington I get, they made a choice to nurse at the .gov teat, they lose my business as well. The segment of the population who actively fought against the legislation in CO did not CHOOSE on the side of government intrusion.

Your analog is not equivalent, and you seem to be saying that there are acceptable casualties in the war of ideas. My point is the company (Ammo2u) could and should penalize the state government agencies while still supplying the citizens the means to defend themselves
