These guys are gouging on .22LR on Gunbroker.com

Then they add $20.00 to the bid-up prices for shipping.

Quiet a contrast to Tanners, who just sell what they get in to locals at a fair price.

I try not to do business with people who profiteer on the backs of the shooting community.

WOW! $58.00 for 500 rounds of standard velocity .22lr? Astounding! Having said that it is an auction and if people are stupid enough to pay that kind of money for it, so be it, they will learn an expensive lesson.

While I don't agree with the $20 shipping, that's a different matter, how is it gouging if it's an auction? They started the bidding at $.01, if someone bids it up, that's on them, not on the seller.

Gouging. Profiteering. Call it what you want.

Or if you think it's okay, go ahead and do business with them.

I don't and I won't

I don't and I won't

Should they close the auction because the price go too high?

They should sell their ammo to one of their local customers at a fair mark-up over what the distributors charge them, as Tanner does, and not seek to profiteer from the very people who've been making their business possible for lo these many years.

Do you see a "Buy It Now" on the auction? No.

Why? Because they're trying to run up the market prices on ammunition.

As I said, if you want to do business with the type of merchant that'll screw their customers over when the opportunity to make an extra buck arises, knock yourself out.

It is, after all, a free market.

You wouldn't be able to run as many people over with that car if it didn't drive as far. It should only have a 10 gallon fuel tank.
