New from Beretta: The Pico

Beretta has long been a respected name in pistols, and this year the company is prepared to add another one to its storied line: the Beretta Pico.

On display at the 142nd NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, the Pico is a micro compact carry pistol. It's chambered in .380, and enters the market as the thinnest .380 by a full millimeter—all told, it's just 18 mm at its widest point. The grip frame, sights and even caliber (which can be changed to .32) are all simple to modify. It features a removable, serialized sub-chassis and modular frame, which simplifies disassembly for easy cleaning and customizing.

The modular chassis can accommodate a Lasermax Laser frame and be customized with a selection of colored frames.

Technical Specifications:

• Model: Pico
• Action: Double/Single
• Caliber: .380
• Capacity: 6+1 Rounds

Note: There are multiple colors to choose from

I think this will give the Ruger LCP a run for its money, especially because it has actual sights. Cool

Oh wow. Another Kel-tec clone.

The fact that you can change calibers sounds like a selling point.

That and the colors I guess. Rolleyes

The latest revision of the LCP has improved sights, though the Pico's look even better and sound like they're removeable. The option to change out to a .32 is certainly interesting. That might be a good option for someone who finds it to be excessively "snappy" in .380

It's hard to tell from the photo, but it looks to me like the barrel may be shorter than the LCP's.

I see what you mean. Wow! I wish my lcp had sights like that.

I have a P32. I don't think adding real sights would even make a difference.

I'll just stick with my P3AT.

I wonder if they'll issue a special model for drug dealers in Los Angeles, alled the "Pico Rivera?"
