New lost or stolen bill includes notifying school
#1
New bill introduced Sept. 4 (HB1519) would require reporting a lost or stolen firearm to the school of any kids in which you have enrolled.

Lemme guess, under the presumption that the kid might be the one that stole it so that the kid can be searched without reasonable cause at the school?

Don't know, but that's a reasonable guess for sure.

No it's so they lock down the school and embarrass the crap out of you so you don't forget to lock up your car next time.

(I have seen that several times in the police blotter... Stolen guns from unlocked cars... Irresponsible!!!!!)
Error 396: Signature cannot be found.

Meh. A bill sponsored by a bunch of Democrats from Philly, Allentown, Pittsburg and Chester that seeks to place onerous responsibility on Pennsylvania's gun owners. This bill doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of making it out of the house.

Quote:© Liability.--Notwithstanding the monetary limits of
7liability specified in 23 Pa.C.S. § 5505 (relating to monetary
8limits of liability), a parent, guardian or other person who has
9control or charge of a student and who fails to report as
10required by subsection (b) shall be liable, without monetary
11limitation, for the injuries sustained by a person present at
12the school entity or institution of higher education in which
13the student is enrolled if the student or any other person
14inflicted the injuries with the lost or stolen weapon.

Government by the lawyers, for the lawyers.
Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.
