Short Title: An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, further providing for persons not to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell or transfer firearms and for Pennsylvania State Police.

Not a snowball's chance in hell I'd ever support that. The absolute last thing we need is the Philly DA and others getting involved in relief petitions. Note the wording; "The application
shall be served upon the following parties, who shall
have standing to appear and contest the application:"

Note that it doesn't say "contest or support". This is specifically written to allow DA's standing to overrun individuals with relief petitions and to appeal to higher courts should the first judge not grant them their way, all at the petitioner's expense and burden.

This is a TERRIBLE idea based upon my early reading of it.

I just read his cosponsorship memo here:

I garuantee most of his cosponsorship signed on because of that memo, as this bill imposes a dangerous change to the relief petitioning process aside from the NICS mental health records fix that is, admittedly, needed.

Disgusting, slimy, two-faced legislation that allows him to label opponents of his DA power grab as against fixing NICS reporting. I have some phone calls to make, this is sickening to me.
