I'd say it depends upon where you are, but, duh, of course it offends certain people. Especially those in authority and those who cow tow to the progressive agenda.

Yeah, NJ says it all. Too bad the people living there that disagree with that crap can't make some changes. I'm not sure a job could pay enough to make me want to move there.

I enjoy every minute of it.

I'm from there, and I can say with certainty that, for me, there isn't one that I have seen--yet--which could convince me.

Now, pay me 500k a year and you've got me. I'd sell all my guns and bray like a sheep for a few years. I'd stay 6 tops, then I'm out.

I'd bank the bulk of it, move to a freer state than PA with a lower cost of living, and pick up some full-auto's to make up for the years I spent under red rule. I'm thinking Idaho, Wyoming, West Virginia, Montana....

I could easily live--quite comfortably--off the interest from the 1.8-2 mil I would have banked during that time.

Yeah, that's why it's good not to speak in absolutes. Given my skillsets and quals, there isn't anything in my chosen field that would entice me to move to NJ. LOL

I also only know the parts of Jersey that I've visited, and I don't want to live there. There surely must be parts of Jersey that are mildly tolerable for the right price?

The problem with your plan is the New Jersey quicksand... Their taxes. 500k yearly quickly whittles down to about 43k in pocket, and you're mired, possibly for life.

It's all part of the plan. Exaggeration? Well, by how much? Don't misunderstand, I get your point, i'm just saying I would prefer a far bigger escape bankroll, and I would want it far away from Jerseys clutches. You could probably do better in the Dakotas. And meet a better class of people!

That's why I would rent Wink

Tax penalty for leaving applies only when you own property. I would never own property in NJ unless it was dirt cheap or willed to me.

Would still (estimated) leave me at 300k per year, and considering it would be a money making scheme to pump and run, I would still exit with enough to retire and live the simple life in a cheap place.

But agree, the Dakota's would be better class of people...but tis all an exercise in fantasy anyway Tongue

Six Flags has apologized to the marine.
They "didn't realize the shirt was from a charity organization"
