Not receiving e-mail notifications
#1
Since yesterday I stopped receiving e-mail notifications to subscribed threads.

AFAIK everything is the same on my end.

I'm still getting e-mails... Is it possible that the threads you are subscribed to haven't had any new posts recently?

Email notifications can be spotty...We have the same issues on PAFOA and every other forum out there. I think it comes from people reporting forum mail as spam and then the servers get blacklisted by the ISP's and email carriers...etc. I'll look into it.

If you are having issues beyond the control of your settings, post or PM me with your ISP/email carrier and I'll look for any potential blocks.

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

The email notifications stopped for me more than a week ago. My ISP is Verizon and I use Thunderbird. I don't have anything marked as junk or spam in Thunderbird until I specifically mark it as such several times then run the junk mail controls to "teach" Thunderbird which ones I want to do away with. I've never marked anything as junk or spam on Verizon, I really dislike the way they have their webmail set up so I don't use it at all unless I'm away from home.
I kinda like not getting the notifications, it helps keep the clutter down in my inbox. Every time I log into PAFOA it starts a new wave of notifications and honestly it can be a PITA.
The only notifications I'd like to receive are for PMs and I don't get many of those so it's not really a big deal to me, I log in a few times a day so I get them soon enough anyhow.
I just wanted to chime in and say that I'm experiencing the same thing as the OP, although something isn't as it should be I don't see it as a problem for me at this time.

It just stopped all together. I know for whatever reason some notificatoins done make it, but this is different.

I did receive a couple last week that went to my junk e-mail folder, but I believe I need to mark them one way or another for any action to occur. FWIW I did mark them as safe when the notifications stopped.

I'm using verizon and windows live mail.

No just the opposite. I wasn't getting notifications and went to visit multiple subscriptions with multiple responses, some quoting me, where I was unawair of the replies.

Here's how I have mine set up and I don't get any notifications at all. I get no notification of private messages, or any others I have checked. Is there something else that needs to be checked or should I just consider myself blessed that my inbox isn't overflowing even though I'm inviting it?

Everything on our end is good. One thing you can try is sending an email to your ISP asking for them to check for and remove any blocks on pa2a.org server. This has happened before with other sites.
