Now Bloomberg knows what's best for you medically..

I ran a search and didn't find anything on this yet...

So now mayor Bloomberg feels like he knows better than your doctors whether you're in pain or not. He wants to restrict opiate prescriptions in NYC.

While there is no dispute that prescription abuse is a major problem in our society, the system for controlling controlled substances is already fundamentally broken, placing further restrictions of this nature on the judgement of doctors will only harm people with legitimate chronic pain. Having worked in this sector I can say that it's already bad enough that, a simple misstep (a legitimately lost or destroyed scrip for example) by a cancer patient can have them treated like criminals or drug addicts making it much harder for them to receive adequate treatment in the future.

I really don't understand what its going to take for people to run this guy out of their city on a rail. I say the people of NYC should buy him a ticket on the next Mobro 4000 trash barge where it can wander the world with him along with with NYC's trash in search of someone who will allow him and the garbage to defile their land instead of ours.

Can we please split this country yet? I'm getting a little tired of hearing about all these ass-hats knowing what is best for me and my family.

Admit nothing.  Deny everything. Demand proof.
If we lie to the government, it's a crime. If the government lies to the people, it's called politics.

I agree 100%. Time to redraw state boundaries, divide up the country and its resources. Bloomberg can keep his scummy city. He can have NJ and Philly too.

This clown gets way too much media coverage and is too involved in national politics.

His term ends this year, thank God. IMO, he would have loved to have been in charge of the third reich. I wish he would just STFU.
