New Jersey: More than 20 Extreme Anti-Gun Bills to be Heard in Committee this Wednesday
On Wednesday, February 13th, the New Jersey Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee will hear more than twenty extreme anti-gun bills. These bills, which border on being some of the worst anti-gun legislation currently being considered in the United States, are a misguided reaction to tragedy and attempts that will fail to prevent future crime. Past attempts at similar legislation have proven that they do not prevent crime and only punish law-abiding gun owners. If these bills pass through committee, they could be considered by the full Assembly as soon as this Thursday. You must act now!

However, Representative Albert Sommers (R-20) added a last-minute amendment that would maintain the state’s ban on hunting with suppressors for all game except varmints. The game wasn't the only thing Republicans were betting on Super Bowl Sunday. They knew Colorado Democrats were going to unveil their gun package that week at the Capitol, and speculation mounted on what would be in it.They. Were. Shocked.Senate President John Morse, a Colorado Springs Democrat, announced he was working on a bill that would hold manufacturers and sellers of assault style weapons legally liable for damage inflicted with such firearms.Even some Democrats shook their heads."That's crazy. Utah: Lawmakers seek to protect gun rights
While some lawmakers in Washington, D.C., are calling for increased gun control, Utah legislators are charging ahead in the opposite direction with measures seeking to expand gun rights. Some of this year's proposals are part of a perennial push to keep Utah firearm friendly, but other pieces of legislation are a response to a perceived threat against the Second Amendment from the White House.

Paul LePage drew cheers as he spoke to more than 100 people who turned out for a gun rights rally outside the State House despite Friday's snowstorm and bitterly cold temperatures."While I'm your governor, they will not infringe on your rights," LePage said.
