Nuclear engineer arrested for Tennessee carry permit.

The story goes that this person's carry permit was invalidated when they got a DE driver's license. I have never heard of such a thing, but I will need to research this further...

Still it's nice to see this state going after the real bad guys for a change...Rolleyes

I particularly like this line:

Quote:Denney said prosecutors will propose that Preston not try to get the .40-caliber Glock pistol taken from him back from police until he gets a Delaware concealed-carry permit. Preston countered that he won’t get such a permit because he won’t ever “drive in Delaware again with a gun in my car.”

Can't have you gun back until you've jumped through the state's flaming hoops, got your requisite number of character references in your county and have literally taken and ad out in the paper announcing your intent... I can't wait to see how hard this dude nails them to the wall over this.

No, his telling them was retarded, but he obviously was probably unclear about the law since the article seems to imply he's switched states several times.

I have not heard this, nothing I've read with regards to statutes stands out to me with regards to this either, but half the time Delaware doesn't even know what the fuck it's laws are. The permit itself says that it is for concealed carry, but the wording does not seem to compel concealment. I've also hear another myth were concealed carry in your home is illegal, but I've been unable to confirm this too. Delaware does have specific rules both legal and illegal with regards to Dover, Newark, and Wilmington. Delaware is a clusterfuck, but as long as they carry on honoring AZ I'm happy until constitutional carry spreads far and wide (hopefully).

Ive read this somewhere as well. Not sure if it is true or not. For what it's worth I've also heard the same said about PA from the lesser informed Rolleyes
