Obama girls protected by guns (edited title)
#1
Was reading an opinion article where the writer pointed out something I didn't think about.

At the school where the Obama girls attend, at any given time there are around 6 vehicles with armed Secret Service guards there to protect the girls. At school.

But schools are gun free zones, right? What's the danger? Eh????? I thought gun free zones were SAFE!!!!

While they are now trying to destroy Wayne Lapierre for suggesting that.
It is truly a sick bunch we face.

By the way, quote by Obama only last month:

Quote:But by the end of their father's second term as President, Sasha will be 15, and Malia will be 18, and they'll have moved from sleepovers to college applications. At that point, they'll have lived much of their lives in Washington.

"They're smart, they're funny," President Obama told "Good Morning America's" Robin Roberts. "But most importantly, they're kind, they're respectful, they're responsible, they're well behaved. I could not ask for better kids."

Now there will be more milestones in that big White House, including homecomings, proms, learning to drive and first dates.

"I have men with guns that surround them -- often," Obama said, laughing. "And a great incentive for running for re-election is that it means they never get in the car with a boy who had a beer. And that's a pretty good thing!"

I have not had a single anti respond when I tell them Bill Clinton made the same proposal in 2000. I suppose they can't reconcile vilifying the NRA proposal with the wise words of slick Willy.
He was the sort of person who stood on mountaintops during thunderstorms in wet copper armour shouting "All the Gods are bastards."

So the president admitted he ran for office for the perks, and not to responsibly lead this nation? Nice. Angry

I'm getting so tired of the hypocrisy of the left. Fortunately, I think the NRA did a good job of showing the left how hypocritical they are. If they villify the NRA for wanted armed officers in schools as protection, the criticize their poster-boy. Or they have to admit the NRA has a valid point - that both sides have agreed to in one form or anther.

Here's the link to the LA article. Might wanna copy and paste it somewhere before they get wise and take it down.

I used it yesterday in a discussion and the crickets are still chirping.

We also need to keep pointing out that BHO's FY2012 budget eliminated the REMS funding grant for school security. I used that one to shut down a couple of mouth breathers as well.

Here's a good blog about it with a timeline.

Something he said was crazy????

If he's crazy, so is Bill Clinton. He implemented the COPS program in 2000.

The state of Utah is crazy, too. They already allow teachers to CCW. More are looking into it now.

We need to saturate the social media with this stuff.

http://www.abc4.com/content/news/top_sto...09oug.cspx

Quote:SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – In light of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting many conversations have started regarding how better to protect students and one of the ideas has been to arm teachers. Here in Utah, educators can already carry firearms into classrooms.

Granite School District Spokesperson Ben Horsley explained, “State law allows a teacher with a concealed carry permit to carry a weapon in our schools.”

Horsley couldn’t comment on how many teachers carry firearms but told ABC 4 News, “I know that they do exist.”

If a teacher has a permit and chooses to carry a weapon onto campus in the Granite School district they have to keep it on them at all times.

“They wouldn’t be able to put it in a desk, secure it or even lock it in that fashion,” said Horsley. “They would have to maintain it on their person.”

More educators in Utah are considering carrying firearms. The tactical gear company OPSGEAR is co-hosting a special course just for educators looking to get their concealed carry permit as well as better learning how to react in an emergency situation.

“Librarians, teachers, janitors, anyone who works at a school,” explained OPSGEAR CEO David Burnell of the upcoming event.

I think Obama's quote, made just last month, about men with guns surrounding his daughters, should be pasted in every news headline around the world.

You know if he was a Republican, they'd have already thrown it back in his face. Yet this one is buried...I only found it doing a Google search to find out how much secret service his daughters had at school.
