Obama to lay out first steps in gun policy
#1
Quote:With the shock and horror from Newtown giving way to anger and calls for action, President Barack Obama will announce his first concrete steps Wednesday in addressing the raging debate about gun policy.
Obama is expected to announce that Vice President Joe Biden will lead an inter-agency process to develop policy in the wake of the Connecticut elementary school massacre.

White House aides say Obama won't announce major policy decisions Wednesday, but will outline his administration's path forward.

"These tragedies must end. And to end them, we must change," Obama told a packed auditorium at Newtown High School on Sunday.

You do know what he wants to change, right? The 2nd Amendment itself.

You can't change the rest without removing the 2nd. As my quote used to say, it's the 2nd Amendment that protects all others.

This should be very interesting. I believe the Dems think reinstating the AWB, 10 round mag limits and eliminating private transactions (aka loophole) are the bare minimum and should be passed easily. They will demand and look for more, much more. Can't let a great crisis go to waste you know.

Fixed it for you.

This kind of knee-jerk reaction, from leaders and from the people, is a good example of the kinds of tyranny the COTUS and BoR were written to prevent. Where is the 'power' of these documents today?

Lincoln was right. Sad

Obama has officially kicked this issue down the road never to be seen again. Nobody thinks Biden is capable of pushing anything through. He is a glorified used car salesman, only less bright. You only let Biden help if you don't want anything to get done.

The power was lost when people stopped believing in liberty.
The law? The law is a human institution...

Eh, Uncle Joe doesn't worry me. It's the people working behind him that worry me.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.
