"Sporting Purpose". I hate that. So unconstitutional.

It was no joke or tin foil.
Now sit down and watch the madness.

I should buy some stock in Alcoa, the major suppliers of tin foil.

Good idea but you might wanna invest in KY too.

Turn your guns in....yeah, right. With 80+ million gun owners in the country and climbing daily, I sincerely doubt the US government is contemplating that type of suicide. For that's exactly what it would be. The people in charge want to stay in charge and you don't do that by severely pissing off that many voters/armed citizens. This kind of right is not going to die easily from the likes of Obama or Hillary. Banning firearms would cause civil war, and politicians want their cushy positions and perks, not an angry mob numbering in the millions bent on their demise.

Never mis-underestimate the stupidity of politicians.

The ATF did it with pistol-grip shotguns, now transferable only to those 21+ rather than just 18+. They could get away with it, politically, on a small scale but only to the extent that the next administration could turn it around immediately.

If he tries anything major on this line you'll have his own party members turning against him on a major scale. So I don't see it happening.

That designation for pistol grip only shotguns has always been on the books. That wasn't a reclassification of anything. Pistol grip only shotguns do not meet the definition of a shotgun as it cannot be fired from the shoulder. All that changed was the law is being enforced. Definitions been the same since 1934.

I know you are being sarcastic, but on a serious note Ruger's stock price was at $8.73 on 11/16/2007. On 11/16/2012, it was valued at $48.10. I also wished I bought stock in Texas Instruments (not only do they make calculators, but they also build laser guided bombs) before Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. I always tell my family if you are going to invest in something, invest in companies who build weapons. Big Grin

Sad thing is that he is not being sarcastic.
